1. Dewsbury Rental Agreement

All vehicle rentals with Dewsbury are subject to a detailed Rental Agreement provided at booking confirmation or vehicle collection. This agreement contains specific terms, conditions, insurance details, charges, and your responsibilities for the particular rental. If there is any conflict between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.

2. Eligibility Criteria

To rent a vehicle from Dewsbury, you must:

  • Be at least 21 years old (age restrictions may vary by vehicle type, with additional charges possible for drivers under 25). Hold a valid, full driving licence appropriate to the vehicle category, held for the minimum period specified in the Dewsbury Rental Agreement. Provide valid photographic identification and proof of address, together with a payment card in the driver’s name.

3. Reservations and Payment

  • Bookings can be made via our website, by telephone, or in person at our Dewsbury branch. A booking deposit may be required to secure your reservation. Full payment and the security deposit are normally due when the vehicle is collected. All prices are in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable.

4. Dewsbury Vehicle Collection and Return

  • When collecting a vehicle from Dewsbury, inspect it carefully and report any existing damage immediately. A vehicle condition report will be prepared and signed by both parties. Return the vehicle in the same condition as at collection, allowing for normal wear and tear. Any new damage discovered on return will be assessed and charged to the hirer.

5. Insurance and Indemnity

  • Basic third-party insurance is included with all Dewsbury rentals. Full coverage details and excess amounts are specified in the Rental Agreement. Additional insurance options may be available to limit your financial liability. Please review these options carefully. You are responsible for damage or loss up to the excess amount shown in the Rental Agreement.

6. Cancellation and Amendments

At Dewsbury, cancellation and amendment policies vary by booking type and required notice. Please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement for full details. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur charges.

7. Disallowed Uses

You must not use a Dewsbury vehicle for:

  • Use of Dewsbury vehicles for any illegal purpose or activity. Racing, rallying, off-roading, or other hazardous activities. Transporting hazardous or dangerous materials. Sub-letting to third parties or allowing unauthorized drivers. Operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Use for purposes for which the vehicle is not intended...

Breaching these rules may result in Dewsbury rental termination and additional charges.

8. Dewsbury Liability Limits

To the maximum extent permitted by English and Welsh law, Dewsbury is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data or business, arising from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the total fees paid by you to Dewsbury in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Dewsbury Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by English and Welsh law as applied in Dewsbury. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English and Welsh courts.

10. Dewsbury Terms Updated

Dewsbury may modify these Terms at any time. Any changes take effect as soon as they are posted on Dewsbury's website. Continuing to use Dewsbury services after posting indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.
